We’ve been doing this a long, long time….. since the mid-70’s. Our Program is old-school and proven effective, designed for the seasoned or novice angler’s optimal enjoyment. FCO’s boats and tents are roomy and top of the line. Meals are delicious, nutritious, hearty and served hot. Staff are trained professionals with fun and witty personalities who work hard to educate and entertain you. They’re exceedingly passionate about fly fishing and will enthusiastically share techniques to improve your fishing game. In addition, our crew will convey the vision of the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge, with conservation of the fisheries, wildlife and Native cultural traditions a top priority.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Bear Problems?

We’ve never ever had one! We respect them and enjoy watching from a distance. They respect us as well.

  • Cell Service?

No cell service on the river until the last night above the village.

  • Sleeping Arrangements?

Comfy! 2 anglers per 6 man tent. 6’-4” ceilings, sturdy cots and air mattress provided. Bring your own warm sleeping bag.

  • Take home fish?

We have a no-kill policy attached to our USF&W limited entry commercial float permit, except for what we might cook as a side dish on the river. We do have one scheduled “fish night” on our chef’s menu.

  • Emergencies?

We are prepared for the worst, however, we’ve never experienced one in all the years of floating. Awareness and preparation are key. We have a satellite phone in camp and each guide carries an InReach device.

  • Showers?

We have a portable shower for use every other night.

  • Hows the food?

Delicious, hearty and plentiful, served hot. Hors d’oeuvres, fresh salads and wine with dinner nightly.
